This is the perfect kayaker's retreat, an oceanfront cottage right in front the Mokulua Islands and there are many more great kayaking destinations nearby, plus sailboarding and any water sport you can think of. The warm ocean is calling! You may love outdoor adventure, but some of your party may just like to watch from the comfort of a nice hammock, and this is the perfect spot to relax outdoors Hawaiian-style. Children welcome. Close to great restaurants and shopping in Kailua, kayaking and outdoor rentals and outfitters nearby. The friendly Lanikai Beach neighborhood is a nice plus, with a bike/ jogging path, short hiking trails, safe swimming, and world-renowned white sand beach. This is the getaway for you! Sea Kayaking to the "Mokes": One of the most popular sea kayaking destinations in Hawaii, the Mokuluas are three small scenic islands located off Lanikai Beach in the Kailua area of the island of Oahu. There is a protective reef so most days the surf conditions are not hazardous and you may have a safe and easy kayak journey. At your destination you will find a small sand beach, beautiful snorkeling with tropical fish and endangered sea turtles, plus a (safe on most days, for experienced kayakers, ) little surf "break" nearby to play in with your kayak. From your cottage it is a a nice destination for a morning there and back, or pack a picnic and explore all day.
